We are pleased to inform that CapGen Seeds will be present at the next edition of Expolevante-Níjar 2024, one of the main agricultural fairs in Almería, which will take place from April 24th to 26th at the Centro de Exposiciones y Congresos de Campohermoso, Nijar. This biannual fair has experienced a 20% growth in its exhibition area compared to the last edition of 2022, with more than 400 stands spread over 20,000 square meters. Among the participating companies are both the most important of the province of Almeria as well as leading national and international companies, and CapGen Seeds is one of them.
On this occasion, we will present our latest innovations in seeds, including exciting new varieties in tomato, cucumber and watermelon, in addition to our well established and recognizable varieties such as our large caliber oval tomato variety Obelix. We will officially introduce Gavilan, a oval cherry tomato with resistance to ToBRFV (ToBRFV), ideal for late fall cycles and with high production capacity. In addition, our new export oval tomato variety, Asterix, which has already generated great expectation even before its official presentation. This variety stands out for its quality and long post-harvest life, and is resistant to rugose virus (ToBRFV).
CapGen Seeds showcases innovations at the next edition of Expolevante
Continuing with our commitment to innovation and excellence in the agricultural sector, we will also present our cucumber and watermelon varieties under development. In this regard, we have three new cucumber varieties in pre-commercial stage, designed to cover the entire crop cycle with resistance to CGMMV. We will also launch CGW1046, a black watermelon that promises to stand out for its flavour and high Brix content.
